A fire incident has taken place at the High Commission of Canada in Nigeria, situated in Abuja’s Central Business District.
According to The PUNCH, the Head of Operations of the FCT Fire Service, Amiola Adebayo, confirmed the incident during a phone interview.
He stated that two individuals sustained fatal injuries in the incident, with approximately three or four other victims promptly transported to hospitals.
“Yes, yes, it’s true. We have two fatally injured and the others in the hospital, either three or four”, he said.
Adebayo, however, did not provide information regarding the cause of the fire incident or specify whether the affected individuals were foreign expatriates or Nigerian citizens.
