Bashir Ahmad, a former media Aide to past president Muhammadu, has urged the Federal Government to reply the assailants of 16 military personnel in Okuoma community, Bomadi Local Government of Delta State with the language they will understand.
Ahmad disclosed this in a statement on his X handle on Saturday while reacting to the heinous crime carried out by the irate youths in Delta State.
He pointed out that the government should repay the perpetrators while noting that the corpse recovered in the Okuoma community were mutilated.
“Channels TV reported that some of the recovered soldiers’ corpses in the Okuoma community were said to have been beheaded while the stomachs and hearts of others were ripped off.
“Nigeria must repay it. Reply to the perpetrators with the language they will understand”, he wrote.
Meanwhile, Ahmad’s comment seemed not to go well with some social media users, strongly criticizing.
Saying that Ahmad should have commented on Boko Haram menace in the North@vian337, said, “Boko haram is ravaging the north for years now, you kept mute, all of a sudden you remember language that perpetrators understand because is the south. Mtchewww.”
In similar vein @omatablog, wrote, “Now you have a loud voice to talk about soldiers killed in Niger delta but refuse to tweet about those who were also murdered by bandits in the North East…you can see the high level of deceits.”
While criticizing Ahmad’s comment, @heisChapma, wrote, “Na this one dem day call you bashir the terrorists sympathizer , for information I also condem what happened , but who is bashir to take off the dirt in another’s eye when there’s dirt in his ?”

The Acting Director of Defence Information, Brig.-Gen. Tukur Gusau, in a statement, confirmed that men of the 181 Amphibious Battalion of the Nigerian Army on a peace mission to the Okuoma community were ambushed and killed by youths in the Okuoma community.
Gusau identified those killed to include the commanding officer, two majors, one captain and 12 soldiers.
He stated further that the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, had ordered an immediate probe and arrest of those involved in the heinous crime.
Meanwhile, the former Aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan told the military not to use unconstitutional or extrajudicial means to avenge the death of its officers in Delta State.
