A Nigerian military female officer identified as Ogunleye Ruth has cried out for help, alleging that her superiors Col.IB Abdulkareem, Col. GS Ogor and Brig. Gen.IB Solebo have been tormenting her, simply because she turned Abdulkareem down after making advances to her, adding that if anything happens to her, they should be held responsible.
In a viral video posted on social media, Ogunleye Ruth with TikTok name@Ogunleyeruthsavage1, recounted how the top military officers, especially Col. IB Abdulkareem whom she alleges is the mastermind behind her ordeal in the Army, made life unbearable for her.
Speaking further in the video, she urged Nigerians, good spirited individuals especially human rights activists and organizations to come to her aid in order not to experience untimely death.
She said, “Let me be sincere with you. Most of our senior officers are very wicked. Let me tell you a story. Before I tell you this story, l know they will come for me, they will lock me up and dismiss me. I don’t care.
“I can’t endure again. Before coming out to do this video I can’t endure again. I don’t want to die before anybody will dismiss me from this army.
“If anything should happen to me, please hold Col.IB Abdulkareem, Col. GS Ogor and Brig. Gen.IB Solebo responsible. They don’t want me to grow. They don’t want my progress.”
While speaking on what played out between them, she added, “In 2022, I was posted here to Medical Cantonment, Ojo, Lagos, where I met Col. Adbdulkareem who requested sex from me but I refused. Ever since then this man has been my nightmare in the army.
“He threatened to dismiss me. He came to my apartment to eject me. He sent some boys to my house. If you think I’m a lying I have evidence and witnesses.
“He also stigmatized me that I have mental illness each time I tried to expose him or any Senior officers try to intervene. He will tell them that I have mental ailments. He went to DOA three times to board me out of army.
“He froze my account for one good year. He froze my account from 2023 till date. No salary. I cried to some senior officers. I wrote a petition using Section 179 Army Forces Act but nothing happened.
“There was a day he wanted to eject me. He almost raped me. He said I have mental illness and took me to psychiatric hospital to lock me up for a month without medication.
“He denied me access to courses which you know that progression in army depends on the courses you attend.
“Now they gave me admission in Medical School he refused to let me go.
“I have called my dad to intervene but he told him to obey the last order. What is the last order? Sleeping with me.
“He denied me everything. I can’t go out on pass to see my parents. No pass. No leave.”
