The Federal Fire Service has debunked news making the rounds that it is recruiting.
This was contained in a statement by the Public relations officer, Abraham Paul.
According to the statement “certain individuals are engaging in fraudulent activities by falsely advertising job vacancies within the Federal Fire Service.”
It added that the Federal Fire Service is presently not recruiting for any position, and any job advertisement claiming otherwise is undoubtedly a scam.
“It has come to our attention that certain individuals are engaging in fraudulent activities by falsely advertising job vacancies within the Federal Fire Service.
“We hereby categorically state that the Federal Fire Service is presently not recruiting for any position, and any job advertisement claiming otherwise is undoubtedly a scam. Our primary objective as the Federal Fire Service is to ensure the safety of life and property of the Nigerian people.
“We condemn and take firm action against any individual involved in such deceptive practices, as they not only exploit the hopes and aspirations of innocent citizens but also tarnish the reputation of our esteemed organization.
“We hereby issue a strong warning to the general public to stay vigilant and not fall victim to this high level of scam. We implore you not to part with your hard-earned money or other valuable assets in response to such fraudulent job advertisements.
“The Federal Fire Service does not charge any fees for recruitment processes, and any request for financial contributions in exchange for employment within our organization is unequivocally illegitimate.
“We understand the frustration and disappointment that our fellow citizens may experience upon realizing they have been deceived by unscrupulous individuals However, we assure you that we are actively working with relevant authorities to uncover those responsible for these deceitful acts and bring them to justice.
“We emphasize that official job vacancies within the Federal Fire Service are exclusively advertised through recognized channels, including our official website, reputable national print and electronic media platforms, and authorized recruitment agencies.
“We strongly advise aspiring applicants to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of any advertised position by cross-checking with the Fire Service’s official channels.
“Follow our social media handles for information as provided by the Public Your safety and well-being are our utmost priorities, and we will continue to strive towards protecting you from such fraudulent activities.
“Should you come across any suspicious job advertisements or have any information that may assist us in our ongoing investigation, please do not hesitate to report it to the appropriate authorities or contact the Federal Fire Service directly.
“Together, let us stand united against these heinous scams and work towards building a more secure and prosperous Nigeria.”
