A 26-year-old man died in Naples after being shot during a night of festivities following Napoli’s third Serie A triumph.
Napoli drew Udinese on Thursday evening to clinch the Serie A title after a 33 years wait.
According to Italian media outlet, more than 200 people ended up in hospital overnight for injuries sustained during the celebrations.
Some of the injuries were said to be from knife wounds to burns from firecrackers and asthma attacks caused by inhaling smoke from flares.
Following Napoli’s win, many fans across the world have continued to celebrate the feat.
Napoli’s Thursday win saw an end to a 33-year title drought, thanks to Osimhen’s title-winning strike which powered the team to glory, one that was last won in 1990.
