The family of Justice Adegboye Ayinla Gbolagunte, a former Judge of the Oyo State High Court, has released the funeral program for the late jurist, who passed away on June 24, 2024.
The funeral rites will begin with a Special Valedictory Court Session on July 22, 2024, at the Oyo State High Court in Ibadan.
This will be followed by a Commendation Service in Lagos on July 23, a Service of Songs in Ibadan on July 25, and a Funeral Service on July 26, 2024, at the New Reservation Area Baptist Church in Ibadan.
According to The PUNCH, the eldest son of the deceased and a Digital Technologist specializing in Network Communications, Oladiran Gbolagunte, unveiled the weeklong programme.
The funeral rites will commence with a Special Valedictory Court Session on Monday, July 22, 2024, at the Oyo State High Court, Ring Road, Ibadan, starting at 10 am.
“On Tuesday, July 23, there will be a Commendation Service at New Estate Baptist Church, 57, Adisa Bashua Street, Surulere, Lagos State from 5 pm.
“This will be followed by a Service of Songs from 5 pm on Thursday, July 25 at Felicia Hall, Jogor Centre, Liberty Road, Ibadan.
“A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at the New Reservation Area Baptist Church, Familusi Avenue, Iyangaku, Ibadan from 10 am, after which his remains will be interred at a private ceremony by the family,” the statement said.
Justice Gbolagunte is survived by his wife, Wuraola, and three children: Oladiran, a Digital Technologist; Oladoyin, a lawyer and accountant; and Oladotun, also a lawyer.
He also leaves behind grandchildren, an aged mother, siblings, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
