Spurs’ poor season took a turn for the worse when a second-half brace from Bryan Mbeumo led Brentford to a magnificent 3-1 victory at their London rivals.
Spurs got off to a great start thanks to an early goal from Harry Kane, but the visitors came out strong in the second half to save them from slipping out of the Europa League playoff picture.
Mbeumo scored two goals in as many minutes to help make up for the absence of Ivan Toney, who was suspended for eight months by the FA for betting violations on Thursday.
Spurs were beaten for the 14th time this Premier League season thanks to a late goal from Yoane Wissa, as they walked off the pitch to more whistles and calls for club chairman Daniel Levy to resign.
