The National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has felicitated Muslims during the celebration of the Eid-El-Kabir.
On Wednesday, the first day of the Sallah celebration, he said, “Barka da Sallah!”, as he urged Muslims to live in peace with those of other faiths.
He said, “We thank the Almighty Allah for the mercy to witness another Eid.
“On the auspicious day of Eid-el-Kabir, we should reflect and cherish the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim (AS). This noble act should be reflected in our actions and deeds, especially in this period when maintaining our lives has become more daunting. As practising believers, we should always remember that Islam is a religion of charity that urges us to love our neighbour as we love ourselves.
“Let us continue to live in peace and harmony with our fellow Nigerians of other faiths in the spirit of peaceful coexistence.
“I urge us all, regardless of faith, to continue pray for the progress of Nigeria at all times.
“The coming days of Dhul-Hijjah herald the end of this Islamic year, and this is a great opportunity for us to work together towards charting a promising path for our dear country, a Nigeria for all, and which works for everyone.”
