The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Benin Zonal Command invaded a tutoring hub for internet fraudsters (Yahoo Boys) in Edo State’s capital.
According to a statement issued by the anti-graft agency, the invasion was carried out in response to intelligence information on the coaching Centre, also known as HK.
Osagie Ogiemwonyi and Onukwugho Favour, the Centre’s proprietors, were arrested along with seven of their “trainees” during the raid on the facility on Tuesday.
Destiny Ohikwugbe, Chata Okoro, Ighodaro Omede, Ehigie Idemudia, Lawrence Daniel, Raymond Ogiemwonyi Oghosa, and Henry Philip are the seven arrested students.
Among the items recovered from the suspects are a Mercedes Benz GLK, a Lexus 350, phones, and laptop computers.
