A PDP leader in Edo State’s Ovia South West Local Government Area, Goodluck Adenomo, along with several of his supporters, have switched allegiance to the APC.
Adenomo was welcomed on Thursday at the APC’s local government administrative offices.
According to reports, the former PDP leader joined the APC to support Dennis Idahosa’s campaign for reelection as the representative for the Ovia Federal Constituency.
Adenowo praised the legislator, stating that he performed better than other lawmakers who had previously served the constituency.
He emphasized the significance of supporting Idahosa, saying; “it is for this reason for that I and my teeming supporters have decided to pitch tent with the APC to support the reelection of Idahosa.
“His performance in the office within the space of three years remained an eye opener to us in Ovia because we have had lawmakers before him who didn’t come close to what he had done.”
Adenowo’s decision was applauded by APC Chairman of Ovia South West, Emma Ogbomo, who received the defectors and expressed happiness for Adenowo’s entry into the party at this time.
“We are indeed happy with your coming and want you all to know that you will be accorded the same privileges and rights as the old members,” he stated.
