An Ecadorain woman, identified as Bella Montoya, who woke up from her coffin during funeral is dead.
PUNCH METRO reported that Montoya woke up from the coffin she was placed during the funeral.
According to her son, Gilberto Barbera Montoya, the hospital had already declared her mother dead before she undoubtedly woke up during her wake keep.
However, the Ecuador’s health ministry has now declared that the Montoya is now dead after a week in intensive care.
The former nurse Montoya’s body is back at the same funeral home where she woke up, her son stated that she will be laid to rest in a public graveyard.
The country’s health government said last week that a technical committee has been set up to look at how the hospital gives out death certificates.
