Social media personality, VeryDarkMan ,has revealed that the music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, is the anonymous benefactor behind a remarkable ₦100 million contribution to his newly founded Non-Governmental Organisation.
In an initial video shared on his Instagram account, VeryDarkMan expressed concern about the sudden large deposit into his NGO account.
He urged Zenith Bank to investigate the transaction, worried that he might be the target of a scam.
“@zenithbankplc, please investigate my NGO account. I don’t know what is going on, hope I’m not being set up… I AM NOT INTO MONEY LAUNDERING, I DO NOT DO FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD). Nigerians, bear me witness, I don’t know what’s up with the account,” he stated.
However, in a follow-up video posted on Thursday, VeryDarkMan confirmed that Don Jazzy had reached out to clarify the situation.
He explained that he had noticed his account balance unexpectedly rise from ₦70 million to over ₦170 million without any prior notification.
“Guys, yesterday I posted that I received ₦100m in my account. I did not receive an alert. I just saw that the money had increased from ₦70m to ₦170m plus. I panicked because I didn’t expect anybody to just send me ₦100m like that, so I thought it was a glitch or maybe someone wanted to set me up, because people had been sending ₦50, ₦100, ₦200, ₦500 and so on, and it’s understandable for me to panic,” he explained.
Desperate to find out who had made the generous donation, VeryDarkMan reached out to contacts but was ultimately relieved to receive a message from Don Jazzy himself.
The message read, “Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send ₦100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been. We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. It’s not easy.”
Following this revelation, Don Jazzy quickly became a trending topic on X with many users praising his philanthropy and sending prayers for the music mogul’s continued success.
In his commitment to transparency, VeryDarkMan pledged to keep the public informed about the funds raised through the NGO, emphasizing accountability as a core principle of his organization.
He proudly shared that, just five days after its launch, the NGO had already amassed an impressive ₦179 million, indicating a promising start to his community development and public school improvement initiatives.
