The Delta State Police Command says it is on the trail of the kidnappers who abducted two Catholic priests in the state.
Spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe who confirmed the incident said the police is intensifying efforts to rescue the perpetrators.
He said, “Yes, it is confirmed but no details now. We are investigating and seriously on the trail to rescue the victims.
“The command is intensifying efforts to rescue them and arrest the perpetrators.”
The two priests, Rev. Fr. Raphael Ogigbah, parish priest of St. Francis Agbarha-Otor, Warri Diocese, and Rev Fr. Kunav Chochos, Schoenstartt Fathers, from Ibadan, Oyo State, were reportedly kidnapped in Agbarha-Otor, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, by gunmen on Saturday night.
