Following Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival in January this year, Al-Nassr has announced Nike as its new kit maker.
In a post made by the club’s official Twitter account on Sunday, it stated, “We are delighted to announce Nike, as our official kit supplier for the 2023-24 season.
“This deal will be activated starting from AlNassr Japan Tour at the end of July.”
The renowned football player, Ronaldo, has a lifelong agreement with Nike and is presently engaged in a 10-year contract with the company, valued at £147 million.
Al-Nassr, Ronaldo’s squad, switched from Arabic giants Duneus to Nike as their jersey provider. This is the team’s third collaboration with Nike, having previously worked with them from 1997 to 2001 and again from 2010 to 2012.
The change in manufacturer is unlikely to result in a big visual shift, given Duneus’ current kit design was inspired by Nike’s style.
Another Saudi pro league team, Al-Hilal, has recently signed a five-year partnership with a well-known sportswear company, Puma, as the league’s international image develops.
