Chelsea has reached an agreement to facilitate the temporary transfer of Romelu Lukaku, a Belgian national team striker, to the Italian Serie A club, Roma.
Based on a report from an Italian sports publication, Roma has agreed to remunerate the London-based club a sum of 5.8 million euros ($6.2 million), while the player in question is set to receive an annual salary of 7.5 million euros.
According to Gazzetta, it has been reported that Lukaku is scheduled to arrive in Rome on Tuesday in order to undertake a medical examination.
The Belgian player will get the opportunity to reunite with Jose Mourinho at Roma, as the latter had previously served as the coach for the striker during his time at Chelsea and Manchester United.
In 2021, Romelu Lukaku completed a transfer from Inter Milan to Chelsea for a fee of 115 million euros. The individual initially became a member of Chelsea Football Club in 2011, subsequently departing for Everton in 2014, and thereafter transitioning to Manchester United and Inter.
Romelu Lukaku, a 30-year-old professional football player, was temporarily transferred to the Italian club Inter during the previous season, when he successfully scored a total of 14 goals.
