Liverpool Football Club were on Saturday held to a goaless draw against Chelsea Football Club.
The two sides went into the game hoping for a result to jumpstart their respective seasons after bad runs of form had left them tied on points in ninth and tenth place, respectively.
However, neither team was able to capitalize on the other’s recent woes, and they were forced to settle for a point apiece – a result that does little for either team’s top-four aspirations, while momentarily moving Liverpool up to eighth.
This game was also the debut game of new Chelsea signing, Mykhaylo Mudryk, who was introduced in the second half.
As a result, Liverpool is still looking for their first league victory of the year, while Chelsea has only won once in their previous five Premier League games.
