Arsenal football star, Bukayo Saka, has been named the England Men’s Player of the Year 2021/2022.
He bagged the award following a stellar performance for the Three Lions and his club side, Arsenal FC.
The 21-year-old was selected by fans as the Three Lions’ stand-out star of the last 12 months ahead of Declan Rice and Harry Kane in second and third respectively.
Saka has now made a total of 18 appearances for England, scoring four and assisting fu=our since he made his debut, aged 19 years, 1 month and 3 days, in October 2020.
The Londoner was surprised with the news by a group of young grassroots footballers at St. George’s Park ahead of September’s UEFA Nations League fixtures against Italy and Germany.
Saka is expected to be in action on Friday evening when England play Italy in the UEFA Nations League.
