The operatives of the Bauchi State Police Command have arrested 10 suspects for various crimes and criminal conspiracies in the Dambam, Toro and Itas-Gadau Local Government Areas of the State.
The Commissioner of Police, Aminu Alhassan, in a state, revealed this on Friday in a statement through the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ahemd Wakil, hailing the operatives for their dedication and professionalism.
Wakil said the suspects were arrested for crimes on alleged rape and thuggery.
According to the PPRO, the operatives of the command nabbed five suspects for alleged rape and five others who engaged in various forms of thuggery and criminal conspiracy within the Bauchi metropolis.
“Investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being intensified to apprehend other accomplices.
“The suspects will be charged to court for prosecution on completion of the investigation,” he said.
The CP assured the residents in the statement that the command is committed to ensuring that lives and property in the state are well secured
While urging the residents to be security conscious, he said there would be no hiding place for criminals in the state.
