The management of Babcock University was reported to have a female artiste during her performance at the Freshers’ fair on Monday.
It was reported that the yet-to-be-identified artiste was stopped from continuing her performance because of her choice of outfit.
A viral video of the incident on the internet showed the artiste wearing a baggy trousers and a tank top during her performance.
A TikToker, Andrea Eyonsa, who shared the video said, “POV: They stopped her performance cause of what she was wearing.”
The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nigeria owns and runs Babcock University, a private Christian institution.
The school’s website states that all skirts and dresses must fall three inches below the knee, and anything longer than that is prohibited.
Additionally, pencil pants and above-the-ankle pants are not permitted on campus, nor are jeans and materials that resemble jeans.
Additionally, the school has stated that wearing skirts or dresses that reveal body contours will be considered sexual harassment.
