Chelsea forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, is set to join French side, Olympic Marseille.
The Gabonese international found himself out of the Blue champions league squad team after falling out of favor with former coach, Graham Potter.
While his future at the North London side looked uncertain owing to the arrival of new players, the former Arsenal star will be making a switch to the French Ligue 1 club.
Aubameyang is thought to earn around £150,000 a week at Chelsea and will take a significant drop in wages to join Marseille.
Italian Football Journalist, Fabrizio Romano, on Wednesday tweeted, “𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐄 𝐆𝐎: 𝐏𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐠. Pierre Aubameyang will join Olympique Marseille on free deal from Chelsea, it’s agreed and here we go!
“Auba will sign three year contract valid until June 2026 — Chelsea let him leave for free, decision made.Pierre wanted OM over Saudi clubs as deal is now in place — he will travel to OM camp in Germany tonight.
“Medical tests booked on Thursday then deal will be official — one more top signing for Marseille.”
Aubameyang joined Chelsea for £12m last summer to be reunited with Thomas Tuchel, but the German was sacked less than a week later.
