The Nigerian Army has killed scores of Boko Haram terrorists in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.
According to Daily Post, the operation was carried out through multiple airstrikes by two Nigerian Air Force Super Tukano jets.
The terrorists were defeated on December 27 after intelligence revealed that they had gathered at Mantari to hold special funeral prayers for the fighters and commanders killed in the airstrikes on December 21. This information was provided by Zagazola Makama, a counterinsurgency expert and security analyst in the Lake Chad region.
The analyst further mentioned that, according to intelligence reports, after the airstrikes, seriously hurt soldiers were seen receiving medical attention in an area around 500 meters west of Mantari.
Military sources also said that some Boko Haram militants met their demise during recent military operations carried out in Shehutari, Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, as part of Operation Hadin Kai.
