According to Daily Post, these soldiers had for the past three weeks received intensive training where they were tutored on the use of weapons to protect civilians and for issues relating to civilians in order to operate optimally in Mali.
At the graduation of these operatives held at the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Centre, Jaji Kaduna, the Chief of Operations, Army, Major-General Akinjobi Olufemi, stressed the need for the protection of Africa as an integral part of the Army and is central to the country’s defence policy.
