Annie Idibia, the estranged wife of Nigerian music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, has broken her silence nearly two months after their highly publicized separation.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Thursday, Annie thanked her family, friends, and fans for their unwavering support during this period.
While she retained “Idibia” in her Instagram bio, she signed off her message with her maiden name, “Annie Uwana Macaulay,” noticeably omitting her husband’s surname.
She has, however, not made any official publication in any widely recognized medium regarding the change of name.
“To my family, to my friends who came through for me, the support system I have now, all my amazing family here and all over the world—God bless you for the outpouring of love,” she wrote.
“I appreciate every single one of you, and I do not take any of it for granted. May the universe continue to be in your favor. God bless you all. Lots of love.”
Annie and 2Baba, who share two children, reportedly ended their marriage in January 2025 when the award-winning singer publicly announced their separation.
2Baba has long been entangled in baby mama drama, with seven children from three women—Pero Adeniyi, Sumbo Adeoye.
The music star was recently seen shopping with his new partner, Natasha Osawaru, at a boutique.
A viral video shows the couple visiting Vodi’s store where they were warmly welcomed by fashion designer Seyi Vodi.
In the video, Natasha mentions that she plans to wear her new outfit to Edo Assembly on Monday.
