A herbalist, identified as Ezekiel, has been apprehended by security operatives in Anambra State for possessing 11 human bones.
According to The PUNCH, the suspect, a resident of Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area, was arrested following a tip-off from whistleblowers who reported suspicious activities at his residence.
During the raid, security operatives recovered bones of various human parts, which the suspect confirmed were used to prepare “high-quality charms” for clients.
Ezekiel claimed the bones were brought to him by a relative from Ebonyi State, where communal clashes are ongoing.
The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, who also confirmed the video, when contacted on Monday, further disclosed that the suspect was intercepted by vigilantes and police operatives from the Neni Division, who were on patrol.
“The suspect is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation. Further details on that will be communicated,” Ikenga added.
