Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has praised Dunamis International Gospel Centre for its well-organized evangelistic crusade held at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.
He commended the church for conducting its outreach in a manner that ensured public convenience, with no disruptions to movement or daily activities.
Impressed by the seamless execution of the event, Soludo announced a full refund of the venue fee paid by the church.
He also extended an invitation to the church’s General Overseer, Pastor Paul Enenche, to hold future gatherings at the same location.
Looking ahead, the governor revealed plans for a comprehensive facelift of Ekwueme Square and its surroundings, promising enhanced lighting and beautification to reflect Anambra’s identity as “The Light of the Nation.”
In a statement released on Thursday by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Soludo encouraged the church to sustain its intercessory efforts for Anambra’s spiritual renewal and to support the government’s drive to instill moral values among the youth.
The statement read in part, “Our people are known for hard work and innovation, not for kidnapping, internet fraud, drug trafficking, and other criminal activities. We must collectively redirect the minds of our youths towards productivity and positive impact.
“We commend Pastor Enenche for preaching messages that promote righteousness and godly living. This will help reshape the minds of young people and contribute to building a safer and more prosperous Anambra State.”
This gesture has been met with widespread applause from religious leaders and the Christian community, who see it as a testament to the government’s commitment to partnering with faith-based organizations for societal transformation.
Prior to the governor’s remarks, Pastor Paul Enenche delivered a powerful sermon titled, ‘Serving the God of the Blessing’, which drew thousands of worshippers seeking divine intervention.
During his sermon, he highlighted God’s unwavering plan to bless His people, referencing biblical accounts of Adam and Noah.
“From the beginning, God declared His blessing upon Adam in Genesis 1:28, saying, ‘Be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, and subdue it.’ Even after the flood, God renewed this blessing with Noah in Genesis 9:1. This shows that God is committed to blessing those who walk with Him,” he said.
Pastor Enenche encouraged believers to remain steadfast in faith, emphasizing that divine blessings are unlocked through obedience and a life of service to God.
As the crusade progresses, the Dunamis leader is expected to lead fervent prayers for individuals, families, and Anambra State, declaring divine favor and transformation upon the land.
