A student of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, simply identified as Tope Elijah has been allegedly shot dead by the Operatives of Amotekun Corps in Ondo State.
The deceased was said to be going for a wedding ceremony on Saturday when the unfortunate incident happened.
According to the BBC Yoruba, the incident led to a protest by students of the institution who stormed major streets in Akure, the state capital.
The Chairman of the National Association of Nigeria Students, Ondo State chapter, Akinola Elijah Temitope, said the officers took to their heels after the incident.
The remains of the deceased have been deposited in the mortuary.
