Popular American Gospel Rapper Lecrae, has shared his excitement over his Nigerian ancestry.
The rapper who is currently in Nigeria on Friday through his Instagram page stated that his Deoxyribonucleic acid test otherwise known as DNA test revealed that he is from Nigeria.
“First time in Nigeria. My DNA test confirms this is one of the countries my ancestors were brought from. I have experienced love like none other. Care, kindness,
grace, and love.
I came here as LECRAE.
But my Nigerian name is
Adewale Obinna.” He wrote.
It would be recalled the Houston rapper in a tweet on January 27, 2021 confirmed that his DNA details suggest that he’s majorly of Nigerian descent.
Lecrae is one of many African-Americans who have traces of Nigerian ancestry, with many others like Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Nas, Kirk Franklin,Tyler The Creator, Sade Audi, Giannis Anetokounpo etc believed to have roots in the West African state.
