The release of a former Chief Security Officer of Owerre Nkwoji, Nkwerre LGA in Imo state, Chidi Anele, who was initially arrested for rape has sparked outrage from residents of the community.
It was gathered that the Anele was arrested by the officials of the Nigerian Police Force for the alleged defiling of a 13-year-old girl.
According to reports, after he was taken into custody at the Imo State criminal investigation department, he was reportedly released following the intervention of ex-House of Representatives member Ugochukwu Nzekwe.
A source reports, “We need justice for this thirteen years old girl who was r+p£d by Chidi.
“He was arrested then hours later, he got released after Hon. Ugochukwu Nzekwe intervened in the matter.
“We need the Imo State government to help us as this man has been defiling minors in the community.”
