Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has said the Former of the State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s burial will not be a somber occasion, but rather a celebration of his life.
According to Vanguard, Aiyedatiwa expressed this sentiment while meeting with the new Vice Chancellor of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Prof Kayode Ijadunola.
He emphasized the significant loss caused by Akeredolu’s passing and highlighted the late governor’s substantial contributions across various domains.
Governor Aiyedatiwa assured that Akeredolu would receive a well-deserved state burial and mentioned that the family is anticipated for further discussions regarding the funeral arrangements.
According to him, “The burial of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredelu will not be a gloomy affair. It will be the celebration of the life of a patriot who was true to life and mankind.”
Akeredolu, who passed away at the age of67 on Wednesday, December27,2023, left a notable legacy, and his funeral is expected to reflect the positive impact he had on the community.
