The Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has declared Friday, 24th February and Friday, 10th March, 2023 as half Work-free Days for Public Servants in the State.
A statement by the Head of service, Kayode Ogundele issued by the Administrative Secretary O. F. Ayodele said the holiday is to enable workers travel to their various Communities to exercise their civic responsibilities in the Presidential, National Assembly and State Assembly elections scheduled for Saturday, 25th February and Saturday, 11th March, 2023 respectively.
The statement added that all State Government Offices are to close work by 12.00 noon tomorrow and Friday, 10th March, 2023.
The Statement reads in part; “The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredotu SAN, CON, has declared Friday, 24th February and Friday, 10th March, 2023 as half Work-free Days for Public Servants in the State to enable them travel to their various Communities to exercise their civic responsibilities in the Presidential, National Assembly and State Assembly elections scheduled for Saturday, 25th February and Saturday, 11th March, 2023 respectively.
“Consequently, all State Government Offices are to close work by 12.00 noon on Friday 24th February and Friday, 10th March, 2023.
“Accounting Officers are to note the content of this circular and disseminate same to all staff of their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies.”
