Captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Ahmed Musa has joined Turkish Super Lig outfit, Sivasspor on a two-year deal.
The former Leicester City attacker reached a mutual agreement on Friday to terminate his contract with his former side, Fatih Karagumuruk to aid the move to Sivasspor.
“Our Demir Grup Sivasspor, which continues its transfer efforts, has finally tied midfield player Ahmed Musa, who wore the Vavacars Fatih Karagümrük jersey, to his colours.
“Ahmed Musa signed a contract that binds him to Demir Grup Sivasspor for 2 years starting from the 2022-2023 season. Our President Mecnun Otyakmaz also took part in the signing ceremony.”
Musa will be teaming up with another Nigerian international, Leke James at Sivasspor.
Musa scored four goals in 34 appearances across all competitions for Fathi Karagumuruk last season.
The 29-year-old forward has played previously in Holland, Russia, Saudi Arabia and England
Born on October 14, 1992, in Jos, Nigeria, Ahmed Musa started football with the Kano Pillars team. Then, the 29-year-old athlete, who played for VVV-Venlo, CSKA Moscow, Leicester City and Al-Nassr teams, started his adventure in Turkey by transferring to Vavacars Fatih Karagümrük in the 2021-2022 season. The athlete, who played in 34 games for the Istanbul representative last season, scored 4 goals and made 2 assists.
Ahmed Musa, who played 367 games in his career, scored 92 times and assisted 65 times.
