Just days after armed groups conducted a series of attacks from Saturday evening to Tuesday morning in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, another assault struck the Budel community in Tangur district within the same region on Thursday night.
According to Channels, the Transition Committee Chairman of Bokkos, Monday Kassah, the marauders launched a nighttime attack, resulting in the burning and destruction of homes in the Budel community.
Fortunately, due to the prompt response of security personnel, no fatalities were reported.
Providing an update on the Christmas Day attack, Kassah reiterated that the casualty count remains at 195.
He further confirmed that ongoing rescue operations aim to locate and assist missing individuals.
