Super Eagles of Nigeria were on Saturday defeated by Guinea Bissau in an African Cup of Nations Qualifier match.
The Nigerian team lost by a lone goal to their opponent in front of their fans at the Abuja National Stadium.
Guinea Bissau took the lead in the 29th minute of the game through Mama Balde, who capitalized on a counter attack to give the Djurtus of Guinea Bissau the lead.
An attempt to bring the game to parity by the home side was unsuccessful as the Eagles wasted several efforts to salvage a point from the game.
The Super Eagles will be returning to Guinea Bissau for the return leg on the 27th of March, where they will hope to redeem themselves.
