The Angolan players, Gelson Dala and Fredy have been cleared for the Palancas Negras quarter-final clash with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the African Cup of Nations in Cote D’ivoire on Friday.
Angola Press Agency disclosed that the national team doctors have passed the two players fit for the game.
The duo, Dala and Fredy didn’t complete the side’s Round of 16 victory against Namibia due to physical problems.
Dala has scored four goals in four outings for the Black Antelopes at the AFCON.
The forward is currently the second-top scorer in the competition while Captain Fredy has registered three assists for Pedro Goncalves’ side.
Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has returned to the starting line-up for the Super Eagles’ quarter-final clash with the Palancas Negras of Angola in the African Cup of Nations in Cote D’ivoire.
Nwabali sustained a mild ligament injury in Nigeria’s Round of 16 victory against Cameroon but has been passed fit to face Angola.
Head coach, Jose Peseiro kept faith with other starters from the win against the Indomitable Lions.
Ola Aina and Zaidu Sanusi will play as right and left-wing backs.
Vice-captain William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi and Calvin Bassey will maintain their partnership in central defence.
Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi will equally take control of midfield duty.
Napoli star, Victor Osimhen will lead the attack with Ademola Lookman and Moses Simon supporting him from the wings.
