President of the African Development Bank, Adewunmi Adesina has condoled with family, friends and the people of Ondo State on the passing of governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Adesina took to his official X handle to mourn Akeredolu who died on Wednesday.
He wrote” I am saddened by the passing away of my friend and brother, Governor Akeredolu of Ondo State.
“You fought a good fight. You finished the race. You were kindhearted.
“You served your people with commitment. May God comfort your family and the people of Ondo State. Adieu Aketi. 💕”
Punch Metro had published that Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of died in Lagos on Wednesday.
The Ondo governor died at the age of 67.
It was learnt that he was managed by State House doctors up to his death because they could not fly him abroad.
The state government is yet to issue an official statement.
