Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Thursday, approved the appointment of Mrs Oyebode Aderonke Mary as the new Iyaloja General of Osun State.
This was contained in a statement by the spokesperson to the governor, Olawale Rasheed.
According to the statement the new Iyaloja General as “a strong leader of business women” in Osun state.
The governor said Mary has contributed immensely to the growth and development of commerce.
“We approve her appointment with all sense of responsibility and confidence in her ability to pilot the affairs of women in commerce for the collective prosperity of Osun state,” the statement read.
Oyebode will be replacing Mrs Awawu Asindemade, who was made Iyaloja General, the female head of all traders in the state, during the reign of ex-governor Rauf Aregbesola.
