A teenager has bite off a middle-aged-man’s finger in Adamawa State for allegedly staring at his (the teenager’s) mother.
The incident occured within Mairawani in Jambutu, Yola North Local Government Area of Yola State.
The suspect, Aliyu Adamu, 18, said he bite off the victim’s, a 50-year-old man identified as Yautai Adamu, for allegedly looking at his 40-year-old mother.
The victim was on his way out on Sunday when he ran into Aliyu Adamu and his mother.
Aliyu was said to have allegedly turned round and noticed Yautai staring at his mother. He then confronted the victim and after a prolonged arguments, be bit off the tip of Yautai’s right forefinger.
Adamu was subsequently charged before the Jimeta Area Court II in Yola North on a three count assault and causing grievous harm.
The Police prosecutor, Ismail Mohammed, said the offences to which the defendant had pleaded guilty, contravened sections 240, 241 and 217 of the Penal Code.
Following the defendant’s guilty plea at the court presided over by Hon Muhammad Lamurde, he has been remanded in prison and the case adjourned to January 3, 2023, for trial.
