Milan are reportedly prepared to sign Samuel Chukwueze and will contact Villarreal in the coming days to begin negotiations.
The Rossoneri are looking to strengthen Stefano Pioli’s attack this summer by acquiring a new right winger who can offer another dimension to the attack.
Milan’s main target for this position is Chukwueze, as the club believes he possesses all the necessary attributes: speed, strength, creativity, and finishing.
According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan and Chukwueze have already reached a verbal agreement regarding his salary and the duration of the contract.
The Rossoneri will now reach out to Villarreal to begin contract talks. The 24-year-old has one year left on his contract in Spain, and the club has placed a €30 million price tag on his services.
According to rumours out of Spain, the Yellow Submarine will only approve Chukwueze’s exit from Estadi de la Ceràmica if a transfer fee of at least €25 million plus bonuses is paid. Milan plans to open negotiations with an offer of €20m and is willing to raise the figures further with add-ons.
Last season, Chukwueze scored
13 goals with 11 assists for Villarreal under the direction of coach Quique Setién.
