Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has wished the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ret.d) a happy 80th birthday.
According to a statement released by the governor’s chief press secretary, Kunle Somorin, on Friday, President Buhari deserves to be honored on his birthday since he has been a godsend to the nation.
Abiodun asserted that the president, whom he characterized as an excellent and ideal leader, has raised the nation’s standing, particularly in the fields of infrastructure, security, agriculture, and foreign policy.
He pointed out that despite his advanced age, the president has toiled assiduously to reposition the nation and set it on the path of progress.
Abiodun said the people would continue to value President Buhari’s leadership for years to come while recognising his resolve to change the narrative of the country through his administration’s numerous programs designed to make life easier for Nigerians.
However, he prayed that Allah would provide the president a long life, good health, and a well-deserved repose when his term as president comes to an end the next year.
The governor also urged Nigerians to pray for the president as he approaches 80 and to assist him in his efforts to hold a credible, fair, and free election the following year.
Again, he wished President Buhari a happy birthday and many more fulfilling years on this planet.
