The abducted Osun farmers, Samuel Oyedotun and Tobiloba Fashola, have been reported to have regained their freedom.
PUNCH METRO reported that the two farmers were kidnapped while returning from their farm along Ede/Ileoogbo road in Ayedire Local Government Area of Osun State last Wednesday.
It was also gathered that the abductors demanded for N25million as ransom. It was later learnt that the kidnappers later agreed to collect N6 million from a hamlet on the border between Kogi and Kwara states.
Three family members, including Samuel’s older brother Sunday, were held after the ransom was paid, and another N24 million was asked for to free them.
In a latest development, it been reported that the victims have been released.
A family source confirmed on Wednesday morning that Samuel and Tobiloba that were earlier abducted have been released, while another relative who was among those that went to deliver ransom in Kogi state was released.
