The abducted sole administrator of Ideato-North LGA in Imo state, Chris Ohizu, has been beheaded by gunmen.
PUNCH Metro had reported that unknown gunmen abducted Ohizu alongside two other residents on Friday after setting his residence and vehicles ablaze.
According to The Cable, the gunmen in a video released on Monday, were seen with the butchered head of the late LGA boss, while also threatening to attack the governor of the state, Hope Uzodimma, as well as other residents of the state.
The publication also reported that the family of the late LGA boss paid ransom to the gunmen to secure his release.
