The National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, Eniola Olajuni, has been released after spending 12 days in the custody of his abductors.
According to The PUNCH, his release was confirmed on Saturday by the National Secretary of the Youth Council, Biodun Aderohunmu.
“He has been released,” Aderohunmu stated.
Olajuni was kidnapped on Monday, February 17, 2025, while traveling to Abuja for a scheduled meeting. The abductors initially demanded a ransom of N100 million and two tricycles before his release.
Following a viral video showing Olajuni held at gunpoint pleading for assistance, the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, had ordered the deployment of the Intelligence Response Team to facilitate his rescue.
