Afropop star, David Adeleke, aka Davido, shared a special moment with the King and Queen of African football, Sadio Mane and Asisat Oshoala, at the 2022 CAF Awards held in Rabat, Morocco on Thursday night.
Bayern Munich’s Mane defeated Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah and Chelsea’s Eduoard Mendy to claim his second African Men’s Player of the Year award.
Davido who performed at the event was also pictured with a five-time African Player of the Year winner, Oshoala, who became the first woman to win the award five times.
Oshoala who was the only Nigerian nominee at the 2022 CAF awards beat Grace Chanda (Zambia/BIIK Kazygurt) and Ajara Nchout Njoya (Cameroon/Inter Milan).
The former Liverpool and Arsenal star equalled Falcons legend, Perpetua Nkwocha’s fourth CAF Women’s Player of the Year Award at the 2019 Awards Gala.
