Popular Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi aka Tems, was revealed as one of the songwriters on Beyoncé’s much anticipated next album, Renaissance.
Tems was credited as a contributing writer to the song, ‘Move’ on the Renaissance album, alongside Beyonce, Richard Isong, Ariowa Irosogie, Densila “Blue June” Andrews, Brittany “@Chi_Coney” Coney, and Ronald Banful.
Her appearance on Beyonce’s album serves as another notable feat for Tems who achieved international fame for her phenomenal contribution to Wizkid’s ‘Essence’.
Tems made history as the first Nigerian and African female musician to win the Best International Act at the BET Awards.
She ousted UK singers Little Simz and Dave to win the category in the 2022 BET Award.
She will also be credited for her work on Essence which earned Wizkid the Best Collaboration at the BET Awards.
Fans will be able to listen to Tems’ contributions on ‘Move’ when Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance’ drops on July 29th, 2022.
At the 2022 BET Awards, Tems was nominated for the Best New Act and Best International Act.
The international superstar made history at the 2022 BET Awards when she became the first African female artist to win a BET award when she took home the Best International Act Prize.
