Veteran Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh, has died less than two years after her only child, Aladi Godgift, passed away.
Ameh who is popular for her role in The Johnsons series reportedly passed away on Sunday after slumping at an event in Warri, Delta State.
According to GoldmyneTV, the actress was rushed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s hospital but passed on before they arrived at the facility.
The Actors Guild of Nigeria is yet to comment on the news as of the time of this report but tributes have flooded social media from some celebrities and fans.
Ameh, who played the role of Anita in the movie ‘Domitilla’ in 1996, was born on May 15, 1974, in Ajegunle, Lagos.
Punch Metro recalls that Ameh lost her child whom she had at the age of 14 on October 20, 2020, following an unsuccessful surgery.
Meanwhile, the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, confirmed the news to The PUNCH on Monday morning.
“We lost Ada. No details at the moment, but we’ve lost Ada,” Rollas said.
