Popular Nigerian gospel minister Dunsin Oyekan has achieved another milestone as his hit single Judah inspires a seven-day study plan on the widely downloaded Bible app, YouVersion.
On Monday evening, Oyekan took to Instagram, where he boasts 1.7 million followers, to share the news. He encouraged fans to dive into the devotional, saying, “Understand how praise leads to breakthroughs, strengthens your faith, and aligns you with God’s plan.”
Punch Metro reports that the nine-minute-long track debuted at The Experience 2024 before its official release on January 3, 2025. Following its release, Judah quickly gained momentum, sparking a viral dance challenge across social media platforms.
The seven-day devotional, created by renowned American gospel music group Integrity Music, is available for free on YouVersion, an app with over 100 million downloads on the Google Play Store.
In a statement introducing the study plan, YouVersion wrote, “In this 7-day devotional, Dunsin Oyekan examines the mysteries of Praise as the believer’s weapon. Through Old and New Testament examples, be encouraged to wield this spiritual weapon in both joyful and challenging moments. We would like to thank Integrity Music for providing this plan.”
Sharing his excitement across his social media platforms, Oyekan—fondly called “The Eagle”—urged his followers to explore the deeper meaning of praise.
“Worship must come from a place of TRUTH, so let’s get into God’s Word through my 7-Day Devotional on Judah: The Mysteries of Praise.”
“For 7 days, we’ll uncover the supernatural power of praise. Through Old and New Testament examples, we will see times God guided His people to use this weapon. Come ready to understand how praise leads to breakthroughs, strengthens your faith, and aligns you with God’s plan.”
The announcement has stirred excitement among Oyekan’s followers and colleagues.
One user remarked, “God is calling us to praise this February. It’s no coincidence that this devotional is released in the same month as the Hallelujah Challenge, and on NSPPD, Pastor Jerry has asked us to come to the altar every day in February with our instrument of praise.”
Another follower, @psalmistrebecka, expressed enthusiasm, saying, “The only thing missing is your voice on the audible devotional!” Meanwhile, @thormiwa_04 tweeted, “Wow. This is so timely. I can’t even wait to start. God bless you, MD.”
With Judah already making waves, this devotional is yet another testament to Dunsin Oyekan’s commitment to leading worshippers into deeper spiritual encounters through music and the Word.
