AC Milan staged a comeback to secure a 2-1 win at Como in Serie A on Tuesday, thanks to quickfire goals from Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao in the second half.
The match saw Como take a surprise lead in the 60th minute when new signing Assane Diao fired a low shot past Mike Maignan at his near post.
However, Milan responded in the 71st minute, with Hernandez scoring a volley from close range to equalize.
Just five minutes later, Leao gave the visitors the lead, latching onto a ball and delicately chipping it over Como goalkeeper Jean Butez to seal all three points for Milan.
This victory marks the first league win for new coach Sergio Conceicao, building on Milan’s recent triumph in the Supercoppa Italiana as they aim to rise up the Serie A standings.
Despite conceding first for the seventh time in Serie A this season, Milan managed to turn the game around.
Previously, they had failed to win any of the six matches in which they conceded first, drawing two and losing four.
Since taking charge, Conceicao has transformed Milan into a team known for their resilience, having made stunning comebacks against both Juventus and Inter to clinch the Supercoppa Italiana.
That same fighting spirit was on display once again, as Milan scored with their final two shots and held firm under late pressure from Como.
