A video of the arrest of a soldier who rode his motorcycle(also called Okada) against traffic by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s team has surfaced online.
Reports revealed that the governor ordered the arrest of the military personnel along Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island.
Sanwo-Olu who was said to be heading to an event spotted the traffic offender and ordered his security personnel to arrest the rider, according to The Cable.
This coming weeks after the ban and clamp down of commercial motorcycles from six Local Government Areas in the state – Eti-Osa, Ikeja, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Apapa, and Surulere.
The chairman of the Lagos task force in Alausa, Ikeja, Shola Jejeloye, revealed that 2,228 seized motorcycles will be crushed.
