England have bolstered their senior squad for October’s international fixtures by calling up Liverpool’s Curtis Jones and Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento.
This comes after the team suffered setbacks, losing Morgan Gibbs-White, Ezri Konsa, and Kobbie Mainoo to injury.
The two new additions will bring the squad back up to 23 players for the upcoming Nations League matches against Greece and Finland.
Jones and Livramento are no strangers to the senior setup, having been previously included in squads. Jones received his first call-up in May 2024 under then-manager Gareth Southgate, while Livramento was selected by Lee Carsley just last month, though neither player has earned their first cap for the Three Lions yet.
There is still concern over the fitness of key players ahead of the critical matches. Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is training separately from the main group due to a knock picked up during club duties.
Similarly, Manchester City’s Jack Grealish missed a recent training session after sustaining a minor knock, but early reports suggest his injury is not serious.
The first test for the Three Lions will come on Thursday at Wembley, where they face Greece in a clash that could have major implications for who tops Group 2 of Nations League B. Afterward, they will travel to Finland for their next encounter, just three days later.
