President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Abuja for a two-week vacation in the United Kingdom, which forms part of his annual leave.
According to an official statement from the Presidency, Tinubu’s vacation will serve as a “working retreat” during which he will reflect on his administration’s economic policies.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the trip in a press release on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
“President Tinubu will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms,” said Onanuga.
The statement also noted that the President is expected to return to the country once his leave is over.
This will be the first time Tinubu is officially taking a break since assuming office earlier this year.
